It has been almost a year since I began my journey towards receiving my forest bathing certification! The final step was an amazing 4 day immersion at Zajac Ranch in British Columbia, Canada. Participants in the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy certification program came from all over Canada and the US, to hone their skills and have the opportunity to go on several forest bathing sessions with a variety of guides. It was so amazing to be surrounded by people all focused on the craft of guiding others in the practice of Forest Therapy, or Forest Bathing. Sometimes it is hard to imagine a dream coming into reality and there were times during this last year that I was unsure I would be able to arrive at this point!
I have been teaching yoga at the local community college for the last year and we have such a lovely group of us practicing each Wednesday night! We are taking a hiatus for the summer, but I am going to be doing a few pop up sessions at the Smith River. Stay tuned for announcements about when and where! There is truly nothing that makes me happier than to look out at all the faces resting in Svasana...Well maybe looking out at participants while guiding a forest bathing walk exploring new spaces.
Bookings will open up toward the middle of June for July, August, September and the rest of the year, weather permitting.
I can't believe it is really happening! Many thanks to all who made this dream possible!
